WaterMark owners, Marc Hayward and Jeff Thomas have worked in custom home design and construction for more than 20 years and have been designing and constructing Distinctive Coastal Homes in the Beaufort, South Carolina since 2003. They are committed to exceeding the expectations of homeowners. They don't merely build homes - they build relationships - and partner with homeowners to deliver an unmatched level of service. You work personally with the owners of the company, which allows them to provide you with the attention to detail that is necessary to build a truly custom home.

Meet Our Owners

Marc and Jeff are both graduates of The Georgia Institute of Technology's School of Architecture with degrees in Architecture and Construction Management.

Jeff Thomas

Co-Owner

Jeff has been directly involved in the design and production of over 100 homes in the Atlanta luxury home market prior to moving to Beaufort. As a managing partner of a residential design/build construction company in the highly competitive Atlanta market, he earned a reputation for superior design and exceptional quality. Jeff and his wife and family relocated to Beaufort in 2003 to share more time as a family and to continue the work he is passionate about in an environment full of inspiration.

Marc Hayward

Co-Owner

Marc brings a wealth of experience from the commercial design and construction industry. As former Vice President of one of the Southeast's most respected developers, Marc's previous career included over $1 billion of high profile projects across the nation. Deciding to move to Beaufort with his wife and daughters has been an important quality of life decision and allows him to concentrate on his true love of crafting beautiful custom homes. Working with world-renowned architects from all corners of the globe has taught Marc to appreciate attention to detail, a cornerstone of WaterMark's mission to provide distinctive coastal homes.
